| 28:11 | And he reached the place, and he stopped there because the sun was setting. And he took one of the rocks he found there, and put it for his head to rest, and he lay down there. | וַיִּפְגַּע בַּמָּקוֹם וַיָּלֶן שָׁם כִּי־בָא הַשֶּׁמֶשׁ וַיִּקַּח מֵאַבְנֵי הַמָּקוֹם וַיָּשֶׂם מְרַאֲשֹׁתָיו וַיִּשְׁכַּב בַּמָּקוֹם הַהוּא׃ |
| 28:12 | And he dreamed that there was a ladder that touched the ground, and its top reached the sky. And G-d’s angels were going up and down it. | וַיַּחֲלֹם וְהִנֵּה סֻלָּם מֻצָּב אַרְצָה וְרֹאשׁוֹ מַגִּיעַ הַשָּׁמָיְמָה וְהִנֵּה מַלְאֲכֵי אֱלֹהִים עֹלִים וְיֹרְדִים בּוֹ׃ |
Ingredients as Shown:
- 1 mozzarella stick
- 1 Persian/cocktail cucumber (can be shared)
- 2 cherry tomatoes
- Mini pretzel sticks
Tools:
- Knife
- Toothpick (optional)
Instructions:
- Cut mozarella stick in half. Slice “arms” at an angle. Cut end from cucumber, then one more round. Cut the round in half.


2. Arrange pretzel sticks as a ladder.
3. Put the cucumber end where Jacob should sleep.
4. Put toothpicks in both mozzarella halves to make necks. Top with tomato heads.
5. Put Jacob down to sleep on his rock. Put angel on the ladder, add cucumber “wings.”
