Pillar of Cloud and Pillar of Fire

Exodus/Shmot 13:21And G-d went with them during the day as a pillar of cloud to guide them, and at night as a pillar of fire to light their way, to by day and by night.
וָה’ הֹלֵךְ לִפְנֵיהֶם יוֹמָם בְּעַמּוּד עָנָן לַנְחֹתָם הַדֶּרֶךְ וְלַיְלָה בְּעַמּוּד אֵשׁ לְהָאִיר לָהֶם לָלֶכֶת יוֹמָם וָלָיְלָה׃
13:22The pillar of cloud did not stop during the day, and the pillar of fire never left the nation at night.לֹא־יָמִישׁ עַמּוּד הֶעָנָן יוֹמָם וְעַמּוּד הָאֵשׁ לָיְלָה לִפְנֵי הָעָם׃

Ingredients as shown:

  • 1 small banana or 1/2 large one.
  • 2 tangerines or one orange.
  • Canned whipped cream

Tools:

  • Sharp knife (cutting can be done ahead of time)
  • Toothpicks

Instructions:

  1. Cut 2 slices of banana long enough to form pillars, but stand on their own. Place on work surface.
  2. Peal oranges or tangerines, segment, and cut segments in half crosswise.
  3. Put toothpick in each piece, build “fire” from bottom to top of banana.
  4. Spray whipped cream on the other banana.
