PURIM PURIM PURIM!!!!!
We all know that the traditional food is Hamentaschen, but what are they meant to be? Let’s check!
Ingredients as shown:
- 1 Gingerbread Man (I use Pepperidge Farms Gingerman cookies)
- 1 date (you can substitute some raisins or fruit leather
- 1 hamantasch
First, take a man-shaped cookie:

Cut some eyes, ears, and a beard from the edges of a date.

Then decide: is it Haman’s purse? That is what the word “hamentasch” means. But in this case, it seems a bit big…

In Hebrew, we say “oznei Haman,” which means Haman’s ears. To make this work, you need tiny hamantaschen, or cut the corners off of big ones (seen here).

Maybe it is his hat?

Or maybe all of them?
