Animal (Cracker) Sacrifice

Leviticus 1:1	And G-d called to Moses, and spoke to him from the Tent of Meeting, and said:	וַיִּקְרָא אֶל־מֹשֶׁה וַיְדַבֵּר יְהֹוָה אֵלָיו מֵאֹהֶל מוֹעֵד לֵאמֹר׃
1:2	Speak to the Children of Israel and tell them:  If one of you make a sacrificial offering of cattle or sheep, you shall bring your offering…	דַּבֵּר אֶל־בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וְאָמַרְתָּ אֲלֵהֶם אָדָם כִּי־יַקְרִיב מִכֶּם קׇרְבָּן לַיהֹוָה מִן־הַבְּהֵמָה מִן־הַבָּקָר וּמִן־הַצֹּאן תַּקְרִיבוּ אֶת־קׇרְבַּנְכֶם׃
1:3	Burnt offerings of these type shall be males without blemish.  They shall offered at the entrance of the Tent of Meeting, and offered to G-d.	אִם־עֹלָה קׇרְבָּנוֹ מִן־הַבָּקָר זָכָר תָּמִים יַקְרִיבֶנּוּ אֶל־פֶּתַח אֹהֶל מוֹעֵד יַקְרִיב אֹתוֹ לִרְצֹנוֹ לִפְנֵי יְהֹוָה׃
1:4	[The Kohen] shall place his hand on the head of the animal to be sacrificed, that it may be acceptable for [the offeror’s] atonement.	וְסָמַךְ יָדוֹ עַל רֹאשׁ הָעֹלָה וְנִרְצָה לוֹ לְכַפֵּר עָלָיו׃

Ingredients:

• Crackers or Pretzel Sticks
• 1 Animal Cracker
• “Fire”: Orange or tangerine pieces (alternatively: orange cheddar)
• Optional: Pecan halves

Tools: None

Instructions:

1. Lay out your wood and/or alter (pretzels or crackers, and optional pecans) to form a sacrificial alter and/or wooden pyre.
2. Place animal cracker on top
3. Surround animal cracker with “fire.”
