NO NOSH THIS WEEK

I am very sorry… I will not be able to make a nosh this week. Given that it is late Friday morning you probably already figured that out.

BUT

The obvious imagery for this week is Rebeccah drawing water from the well. My plan was (and still is) to recreate this. If you are using the Shabbos Stash, take animal crackers. Choose some to be “people” and some to be “camels.” The people will be Rivka and Eliezer. Use a large marshmallow as the well. Decorate if you wish.

Alternatively, you can recreate the “meet cute” wherein Rivka saw Itzchak… and promptly fell off her camel! Translations often make it sound like she leapt off, but those are inaccurate.

If you are using fresh produce, you can do all sorts of things to make people. See these pages for ideas:

Vayechi

Mishpatim

The “well” can be a bell pepper or tomato… anything of that shape.
