Deuteronomy 8:7 | For G-d your G-d will bring you to a good land. A land of streams, springs, and fountains, both in the valleys and in the hills.
8:8 | A land of wheat and barley, vine, fig, and pomegranate, a land of olives, oil and honey (dates). | אֶרֶץ חִטָּה וּשְׂעֹרָה וְגֶפֶן וּתְאֵנָה וְרִמּוֹן אֶרֶץ־זֵית שֶׁמֶן וּדְבָשׁ׃ |
Ingredients:
- 1 mini pretzel stick
- 2-3 sour or licorice straws in a color similar to your jelly bean grapes (note: as some sour straw will show through, it is important to match colors: Use red for red or purple grapes and green for green grapes. In my experience the blue sour straws (at least the ones available to me) show through too much and should not be used for this)
- Many jelly beans for grapes
- 2 green jelly beans for leaves
- Cut straws as follows: 1 length 1 ½” or less, 2 pieces1” long or less, and 3 pieces ½” long or less.
- Putting one blade of the scissors in the hollow of the straws, cut open lengthwise.
- Wrap the longest piece of straw around the pretzel stick with ½” of the pretzel stick protruding out of one end, wrap the two middle pieces around the first straw so that they form a staircase and the bottoms touch, and wrap the three shortest pieces around the first to form a staircase with all bottoms touching.

- Snip off the very bottom of one grape jelly bean. Press it onto the protruding tip of the pretzel stick.
ILLUSTRATION OF SNIPPING OFF BOTTOM TIP
- Snip off the tips of the remaining grape jelly beans at an angle, press them onto protruding end of pretzel stick around the first where one can see (no need to lift the pretzel stick and do the back; this will make everything fall off), then go up the staircase overlapping. When you get to the top of the staircase cover the sour straw bottoms where they meet so that no sour straw shows.

- Cut the two leaf-colored jelly beans in half lengthwise, discarding one half. Press one end of two of the halves together at right angles. Press the end of the third half in the center in between the first two so that the three jelly bean halves are firmly attached to one another. Gently press the leaf onto the stem of your grapes, supporting the pretzel stick on the other side and taking care not to allow it to snap. However, if the stick does snap, simply cover the broken end with your leaf.
