Torah Thoughts

The word shir means both poem and song in Hebrew. Parashat Ha’azinu is a poem/song, and if you look at the actual text in both a Torah scroll and in your Chumash you will see this reflected.

In Parashat Ha’azinu, Moshe recites (probably chants/sings, as we do today) to all of Israel a poem/song, as he was instructed to do b G-d.
