Metzora / מְּצֹרָע

Torah Thoughts

This week’s thoughts:

Carrying the Torah through the Desert

Other notes:

Parashat Metzorah includes instructions for how to end the period of ritual impurity, if one is fortunate enough to be cured from Tzara’at (commonly translated as leprosy, though we believe it is not what is referred to as leprosy today.

After finding a person is eligible to be purified, the Kohen must perform some acts (described in the parsha), and only then may the leper must wash his clothes and body before being declared pure.

Other obligations follow… read the parsha to see!
