Mikeitz

And after two years had passed, Pharoh dreamt that he was standing on the edge of the Nile.

Torah Thoughts

OK, Pharaoh certainly did not sleep with his headdress, and almost certainly did not sleep with a teddy bear. But how else was I supposed to show that this was Pharaoh?

Pharaoh’s dreams, and Joseph’s being identified as a masterful interpreter of dreams, starts his rise in Pharaoh’s kingdom, which, in turn, enables Joseph’s extended family to move to Egypt, which had food stores (thanks to Joseph), during a period of famine. This marks a major point in our history.
