OK, Pharaoh certainly did not sleep with his headdress, and almost certainly did not sleep with a teddy bear. But how else was I supposed to show that this was Pharaoh?
Pharaoh’s dreams, and Joseph’s being identified as a masterful interpreter of dreams, starts his rise in Pharaoh’s kingdom, which, in turn, enables Joseph’s extended family to move to Egypt, which had food stores (thanks to Joseph), during a period of famine. This marks a major point in our history.
