Moshe Gazing Over at the Land of Israel

Deuteronomy / Devarim 34:1 (translation largely copied from JPS)And Moshe went up from the steppes of Moav to Mount Nevo, to the summit of Pisgah, opposite Jericho, and G-d showed him the whole land: Gilad as far as Dan;וַיַּעַל מֹשֶׁה מֵעַרְבֹת מוֹאָב אֶל־הַר נְבוֹ רֹאשׁ הַפִּסְגָּה אֲשֶׁר עַל־פְּנֵי יְרֵחוֹ וַיַּרְאֵהוּ ה אֶת־כׇּל־הָאָרֶץ אֶת־הַגִּלְעָד עַד־דָּן׃
34:2all Naphtali; the land of Ephraim and Manashe; the whole land of Judah as far as the Western Sea;וְאֵת כׇּל־נַפְתָּלִי וְאֶת־אֶרֶץ אֶפְרַיִם וּמְנַשֶּׁה וְאֵת כׇּל־אֶרֶץ יְהוּדָה עַד הַיָּם הָאַחֲרוֹן׃
34:3the Negev; and the Plain—the Valley of Jericho, the city of palm trees—as far as Tzoar.
34:4And G-d said to him, “This is the land of which I swore to Avraham, Itzchak, and Ya’akov, ‘I will assign it to your offspring.’ I have let you see it with your own eyes, but you shall not cross there.”
34:5So Moses the servant of G-d died there, in the land of Moav, at the command of G-d.

The put the second toothpick through the banana, crosswise, to hold the “arms,” as shown.

3. Press the apple slices on to the toothpicks to form “arm,” resting one on the pretzel stick.

Gently attach the black sesame seed “eyes” and the white sesame seed “notes,” using the tip of our finger or tweezers (make sure they are clean).  The sesame seeds will easily stick to the surface.  Cut a sliver from the grape and add as a “mouth.”
