15And Moses went up the mountain, and the cloud covered the mountain.
16And G-d’s honor dwelled on Mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it for six days.  And [G-d] called to Moses on the seventh day from within the cloud.
17And to the children of Israel, G-d’s honor looked like fire eating the top of the mounain.
18And Moses entered the cloud, and went up the mountain.  And Moses was on the mountain for forty days and forty nights.  וַיָּבֹא מֹשֶׁה בְּתוֹךְ הֶעָנָן וַיַּעַל אֶל־הָהָר וַיְהִי מֹשֶׁה בָּהָר אַרְבָּעִים יוֹם וְאַרְבָּעִים לָיְלָה׃ {פ}
Exodus 25:1And G-d spoke to Moses:
Exodus 31:18And when G-d finished speaking with Moses on Mount Sinai, he gave him the two tablets of testimony; tablets of stone, written with the finger of G-d.
Exodus 32:1And the nation believed that Moses was delayed in coming down from the mountain.  And they congregated around Aaron and said:  get up.  Make us a god to go before us, because we do not know what happened to the man, Moses.
Exodus 32:7And G-d said to Moses:  go down, because your nation, which you brought out of Egypt, has sinned.
Exodus 32:15And Moses turned and went down from the mountain holding in his arms the two tablets of testimony, which were carved on both sides.
Exodus 32:16: And the tablets were the work of G-d.  And the writing was the writing of G-d, who had carved the tablets.
Exodus 32:19And it was when he came close to the camp, and saw the calf and the celebration, that Moses became incensed, and cast out from his hands the tablets, and broke them at the foot of the mountain.
Exodus 34:1And G-d said to Moses:  carve for yourself two stone tablets like the first.  And write on them the things that were written on the first tablets, which you broke.
Exodus 34:4And he carved two stone tablets like the first, and Moses awoke in the morning, and climbed up Mount Sinai, as G-d had commanded him to do.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 Banana
  • 1 grape
  • 2 black sesame seeds
  • 1 graham crackers

Tools:

  • Knife (can be plastic, optional)
  • Toothpick (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Cut banana in half crosswise, so that one half stands up.
  2. Cut a slit in the grape to form a mouth.
  3. Attach grape to banana with a toothpick, OR cut bottom of grape a bit flat and top of banana a bit flat so the grape sits atop the banana.
  4. Gently place sesame seeds on grape to form eyes. They will stick to the moisture left from washing the grape.
  5. Trim graham crackers, if desired, to a size that looks proportional to your little Moses. Gently press to the banana; they will stay with no additional assistance!
