Exodus 19:5: “You saw what I did to the Egyptians; I carried you on the wings of eagles, and brought you to me.”
Ingredients:
- 2 marshmallows
- 2 black sesame seeds
- Powdered sugar
Tools:
- 1 pair of scissors (child proof will work)
- Tweezers (optional)
Instructions:
BEFORE MAKING ANY CUTTING, DIP SCISSORS INTO POWDERED SUGAR BAG TO PREVENT SCISSORS FROM STICKING.

1. Cut a marshmallow, cut on the diagonal. Dip the cut end in powdered sugar.

2. Place one half on a plate; this is the “torso.” Taking care to dip scissors in between each cut, cut the larger end of the other half into “tail feathers.” Place behind the “torso.”

3. Cut a marshmallow crosswise into 5 even slices. Squeeze the center one into the shape of a head, and attach a sesame seed eye, and place as desired (see photos above). You may want to shape the “beak.”

7. Slice “feathers” into the remaining four pieces and place as desired. If you are feeling particularly ambitious, take advantage of the sticky edges to have the wings stand (see below).
