Deuteronomy / Dvarim 31:10 | And Moshe/Moses instructed them, saying: at the end of each seven year Shmita period, during Sukkot, | וַיְצַו מֹשֶׁה אוֹתָם לֵאמֹר מִקֵּץ שֶׁבַע שָׁנִים בְּמֹעֵד שְׁנַת הַשְּׁמִטָּה בְּחַג הַסֻּכּוֹת׃ |
31:11 | When all of Israel comes to see the face of G-d in the place He will choose, read this Torah before all of Israel, to their ears.
31:12 | Gather the nation: the men, the women, the children, and the resident alien, so that they will hear, and so they will learn and revere the L-rd your G-d, and make sure to do all the things stated in this Torah.
31:13 | And their children, who did not know, will hear and learn to revere the L-rd your G-d all the days you are living on the land, which inheritance is the reason you are going to cross the Jordan River over there.
