I know the plagues are meant to be unpleasant, but this cute little frog just makes me happy every time I look at it! Much easier to make than it looks.
The grapes I used were a bit too big; smaller ones would have worked better.
Ingredients per snack:
- 1 pear
- Approx. 6 green grapes (depending on size)
- 2 blueberries
Tools:
- 2 or more toothpicks (you may want to snap several in half or smaller pieces before Shabbat)
- Sharp knife (parental assistance may be needed)

- Cut the calyx out of the pear to form a mouth.

2. Cut bottom off of pear in a line approximately parallel with the mouth opening.

3. Cut 1 grape in half crosswise, and two others in half lengthwise. How many more you use will depend on how large your grapes are. I prefer smaller grapes for this project.

4. Place the grapes cut crosswise where you want eyes to be; secure with toothpicks, leaving a bit of the toothpicks exposed.

5. Top eyes with blueberries.

6. Place 4 grape halves cut lengthwise where you want frog’s feet.

7. You can stop here, or add grapes for body of front and back legs. You can attach with toothpicks or just let them sit on the frog and the feet!
