| Bereishit / Genesis 28:10 | And Ya’akov went out from Be’er Sheva, and walked toward Charan. |
| 28:11 | And he reached the place, and he stopped there because the sun was setting. And he took one of the rocks he found there, and put it for his head to rest, and he lay down there.
| 28:12 | And he dreamed that there was a ladder that touched the ground, and its top reached the sky. And G-d’s angels were going up and down it.
Ingredients as Shown:
- 3 small gingerbread men
- 1 large marshmallow
- Powdered sugar (see “About Marshmallows and Cutting Them“)
- Mini pretzel sticks
- A few raisins
- 1 sliver dried cranberry or red fruit leather
Tools:
- Scissors (safety scissors are fine)
Instructions:
- Cut two small sliver from a raisin. Press sticky side into one of the gingerbread men to create “eyes.”

2. Cut more raisins to expose sticky center. Press sticky side down into the same gingerbread man to create “hair.”

3. Cut sliver of craisin or red fruit leather (you can save the rest in a sealed container for later). Press into “mouth.”

4. Dip your clean, dry scissors into powdered sugar (see “About Marshmallows and Cutting Them“). Cut a thin slice from the flat side of the marshmallow (you will need 5 slices ultimately). Place it here Ya’akov is to sleep, lay Ya’akov down to sleep.

5. Lay sides of the ladder (I made the bottom end wider to give perspective, but it is not necessary). Add rungs (you may need to bite off the ends to make them fit; perfectly fine if you say the bracha first!).

6. Cut the remaining part of the marshmallow into 4 slices. Press stickier side down into backs of the remaining gingerbread men.

7. Place on ladder.
