Ingredients as Shown:
- 2 black-and-white cookies (store bought or homemade)
- Brown sugar
- Blue, green, yellow, and orange colored sugar (you can get them in a package together)
- 1 large marshmallow (not shown)
Instructions:
- If the white icing is already smooth and dry, dampen finger in water and run around edge of white part of the cookie. Sprinkles with blue sugar; it will stick only to wet portion (if the icing is still fresh and wet, dip edges in the blue sugar).
2. Using a spoon or your fingers, place the brown sugar in the non-“water” part of the white part of the cookie (it’s ok if it is not exact; I am just explaining what I did).
3. Using a spoon or your fingers, sprinkle the green sugar on the brown.
4. If the brown part of the cookie is dry and smooth, dip your finger in a bit of water and dampen the brown part of the cookie. sprinkle with yellow sugar to make stars.
5. Flip the remaining cookie so the icing is down. Sprinkle with yellow and/or orange colored sugar, pressing in with your fingers so the sugar sticks (if you prefer, use wax paper or parchment paper to separate between your fingers and the cookie).
6. To arrange: put the “earth” where you wish, placing the sun facing the “day” part of the earth, and the marshmallow “moon” on the “night” side (I forgot the moon when I took this photo). If desired, add yellow and/or orange colored sugar around the sun, and rock salt to form stars on the “night” side (as shown).
