Numbers / Bamidbar 6:22And G-d said to Moshe:וַיְדַבֵּר ה’ אֶל־מֹשֶׁה לֵּאמֹר׃
6:23Say the following to Aharon and his sons:  This is the way you will bless the children of Israel, by saying:דַּבֵּר אֶל־אַהֲרֹן וְאֶל־בָּנָיו לֵאמֹר כֹּה תְבָרְכוּ אֶת־בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל אָמוֹר לָהֶם׃
6:24“May G-d bless you and keep/protect you.יְבָרֶכְךָ י ה’ וְיִשְׁמְרֶךָ׃
6:25“May G-d’s countenance shine upon you and view you favorably.יָאֵר ה’  פָּנָיו אֵלֶיךָ וִיחֻנֶּךָּ׃
6:26“May G-d focus on you, and grant you peace.”יִשָּׂא ה’  פָּנָיו אֵלֶיךָ וְיָשֵׂם לְךָ שָׁלוֹם׃
6:27And in this way, you will put my name before the Children of Israel, and I will distinguish/bless them.וְשָׂמוּ אֶת־שְׁמִי עַל־בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וַאֲנִי אֲבָרְכֵם׃

Ingredients as shown:

  • 1 large marshmallow
  • Powdered sugar to prevent sticking

Tools:

  • Clean scissors

Instructions:

  1. Dip scissors into more powdered sugar (see https://parshanosher.com/about-marshmallows-and-cutting-them/). Cut marshmallow in half or thirds as shown. In the final photo shown the marshmallow was cut in thirds; if doing so, eat the third part. Dust open cut(s) with powdered sugar.

2. Taking one piece at a time, cut the thumb as shown. Cut a “v” to create a space between the thumb and the next finger.

3. Cut two thin “fingers” after gap, and two thin fingers on the other end for pinky and ring finger. This will leave an extra thick part.

4. Pinch off the large center part to create the gap or the Cohen hands.
