| Deuteronomy 4:1 | And now, Israel, obey the laws and the regulations that I am teaching you to do, so that that you live, and come and inherit the land that G-d, the God of your fathers, is giving to you. | וְעַתָּה יִשְׂרָאֵל שְׁמַע אֶל־הַחֻקִּים וְאֶל־הַמִּשְׁפָּטִים אֲשֶׁר אָנֹכִי מְלַמֵּד אֶתְכֶם לַעֲשׂוֹת לְמַעַן תִּחְיוּ וּבָאתֶם וִירִשְׁתֶּם אֶת־הָאָרֶץ אֲשֶׁר הֹ’ אֱלֹ-קי אֲבֹתֵיכֶם נֹתֵן לָכֶם׃ |
| 4:6 | You must keep them and do them, because they are your wisdom and your understanding in they eyes of the nations that will hear all these law. They will only say “This large nation is wise and understanding.” | וּשְׁמַרְתֶּם וַעֲשִׂיתֶם כִּי הִוא חׇכְמַתְכֶם וּבִינַתְכֶם לְעֵינֵי הָעַמִּים אֲשֶׁר יִשְׁמְעוּן אֵת כׇּל־הַחֻקִּים הָאֵלֶּה וְאָמְרוּ רַק עַם־חָכָם וְנָבוֹן הַגּוֹי הַגָּדוֹל הַזֶּה׃ |
| 4:7 | For which other large nation has a god so close to him as G-d, to whom they can always call? | כִּי מִי־גוֹי גָּדוֹל אֲשֶׁר־לוֹ אֱלֹ–ִים קְרֹבִים אֵלָיו כַּ–ה’ אֱל–קֵינוּ בְּכׇל־קׇרְאֵנוּ אֵלָיו׃ |
| 4:8 | And which other large nation has such fair laws and regulations, as constitute these Instructions (“Torah”) which I present before you on this day? | וּמִי גּוֹי גָּדוֹל אֲשֶׁר־לוֹ חֻקִּים וּמִשְׁפָּטִים צַדִּיקִם כְּכֹל הַתּוֹרָה הַזֹּאת אֲשֶׁר אָנֹכִי נֹתֵן לִפְנֵיכֶם הַיּוֹם׃ |
| 4:9 | Only carefull guard yourself and your soul against forgetting the things which your eyes saw, lest they be lost from your heart all the days of your life. Inform your children and your children’s children of them. | רַק הִשָּׁמֶר לְךָ וּשְׁמֹר נַפְשְׁךָ מְאֹד פֶּן־תִּשְׁכַּח אֶת־הַדְּבָרִים אֲשֶׁר־רָאוּ עֵינֶיךָ וּפֶן־יָסוּרוּ מִלְּבָבְךָ כֹּל יְמֵי חַיֶּיךָ וְהוֹדַעְתָּם לְבָנֶיךָ וְלִבְנֵי בָנֶיךָ׃ |
Ingredients:
- 1 flat-bottom ice cream cone
- Mini bear cookies
- Mini Marshmallows
- Fruit leather, chocolate milk mix, etc (optional)
Tools:
- Scissors
Instructions:
- Place ice cream cone open side down to form a raised platform.
- Take one mini marshmallow. Cut off a thin part of one end, poke a hole to form a “mouth,” and press onto the remaining bear-shaped cookie. Cut off a thin part of the other end and press on to the head to form a head covering. Place on the ice cream cone.
- Optional: decorate more mini bear cookies (or leave them plain). Use mini marshmallows to make them stand, and place around the raised platform.
