
Bereishit / Genesis 1:16 | And G-d made the two large lights. The larger light to be on duty during the day, and the smaller light to be on duty at night, and the stars. | וַיַּעַשׂ אֱלֹ-קים אֶת־שְׁנֵי הַמְּאֹרֹת הַגְּדֹלִים אֶת־הַמָּאוֹר הַגָּדֹל לְמֶמְשֶׁלֶת הַיּוֹם וְאֶת־הַמָּאוֹר הַקָּטֹן לְמֶמְשֶׁלֶת הַלַּיְלָה וְאֵת הַכּוֹכָבִים׃ |
1:17 | And G-d put them in the sky to light the Earth, | וַיִּתֵּן אֹתָם אֱלֹ-קים בִּרְקִיעַ הַשָּׁמָיִם לְהָאִיר עַל־הָאָרֶץ׃ |
1:18 | And to be on duty by day and by night, and to differentiate between day and night. And G-d saw that it was good. | וְלִמְשֹׁל בַּיּוֹם וּבַלַּיְלָה וּלְהַבְדִּיל בֵּין הָאוֹר וּבֵין הַחֹשֶׁךְ וַיַּרְא אֱלֹ-קים כִּי־טוֹב׃ |
1:19 | And it was night, and it was day, [thus ended] the forth day. | וַיְהִי־עֶרֶב וַיְהִי־בֹקֶר יוֹם רְבִיעִי׃ |
Ingredients as Shown:
- 1 Marshmallow (or banana slice)
- 1 Dried Apricot
- Golden Raisins
- Yellow Sparkling Sugar (or white sesame seeds or star-shaped sprinkles
Instructions:
- Place beginning of Sun and Moon on your work area.

2. Taking one golden raisin at a time, flatten one side and pinch the other. Arrange around the “sun” (optional).





3. Sprinkle around colored sugar (or white sesame seeds or star-shaped sprinkles) to represent the stars in the sky.
